It’s essential to pay attention to public health advice to practice social distancing and to stay home to limit contact and reduce the spread of infection. And it’s also essential to take care of yourself, particularly when it comes to stress.
A gratitude practice does not sound like much, yet we know from so many researches that a daily gratitude practice is good for us, helping us reduce stress, overcome depression and anxiety, get better sleep and stay healthier.
It offers us what we need not merely to survive difficult times but to appreciate their gifts, even when the gifts take time to reveal themselves. When life feels too small or too big to handle, too predictable or too uncertain, this is when we need gratefulness most. In the midst of times of uncertainty it serves us to reflect on how gratefulness might help to calm us, reduce fears and expectations, open us to greater clarity and love, and fuel action grounded in our deep intentions.
We’ll dive into the calming benefits of gratitude and the healing power of arts with mindfulness and full intentions to actively practice self-care and wellness in this stressful time.
Every session we’ll tape into a prompt/category for our gratitude of the session, we’ll each go through their deep journey of mindful journaling and making visual presentation of what we’re grateful for, then ending with a sharing circle.
